Varied ecommerce consultancy position embedded in a technical project team at Marks & Spencer head office, playing a critical role in delivering an innovative customer-facing ecommerce proposition. The role had several functions, with a focus on operational data and systems analysis.
Responsible for managing data from various sources from initial data mapping exercise all the way through to quality and stability testing.
Took ownership of data for the project, and provided an invaluable source of knowledge for a variety of stakeholders including testers, developers, architects and management.
Business analysis including creating wireframes, BRDs, gap analyses, traceability matrices, processes workflows and logic diagrams.
Involved in defining, utilising and trouble-shooting the newly created API stack used by multi-channel propositions to interface with the ecommerce platform data.
Immersed in an agile development environment, with daily stand-ups, weekly sprints, backlog management, performance metrics and strict workflows. Worked closely with architects, developers and business analysts to form solutions.
Also took responsibility of understanding the ecommerce platform to investigate various issues, including data validity, system stability and technical limitations.
Worked with various aspects of the core ecommerce platform, including product information, stock, commerce, search and media assets.
Additionally worked internally at REPL to build test environments for WFM and WMS solutions on MS SQL and Oracle DB.
Gained solid understanding of database structures and implementation, and how to troubleshoot installations. Also worked on internal data integration projects.
